Our story began when Steve and I (Leslie) met in the fall of 1998 at the MCC Institute building. It was love at first sight . . . actually I thought that Steve had extraordinarily large feet and mistakenly thought he was arrogant. We had our first date on May 7, 1999, got engaged on January 19, 2001, and were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 2, 2001. So almost 5 1/2 years later we are still married and have 2 wonderful children. Lyda was born on May 16, 2003 and Kode was born on October 20, 2005.
Steve works in Scottsdale at a company called iCrossing.com and is really enjoying his job. I stay home with the little ones and we all look forward to daddy's homecoming every day. I really do enjoy being a mother and our days are filled with many hysterical and interesting moments thanks to Lyda.
Lyda is almost 3 1/2 and has excellent negotiating skills. She is enjoying her preschool class that she attends twice a week and is also participating in a little singing group every Monday. She is a funny, funny girl and I really mean it when I say that we are constantly cracking up at the things that come out of her mouth. She keeps us on our toes for sure.
Kode will be 1 year old on the 20th of this month. I can't believe how the time has flown by. He is such a cute little bashful kid who will cuddle only when he thinks somebody other than mom or dad is going to try to hold him. He is a big climber and has landed on his head twice within the last week and a half, leaving him with a chipped tooth and a big bruise/cut on his forehead. I truly will be surprised and thrilled if he makes it to adulthood.
We are all happy and healthy and just busy going about life. We are so grateful for all of our wonderful blessings.
